Fix #9

Time to reveal my 9th Stitch Fix. In my note to the stylist, I asked for some specific items, such as lighter wash skinny jeans, faux leather jacket in brown or wine color and some office friendly items. I  did not get the same stylist I had in my previous fixes but feel like my stylist did a very good job listening to my needs and she made a great attempt at providing what I wanted.

If you have not heard about it, Stitch Fix offers styling service and sends you 5 hand picked clothing items that fits the style profile you created. The styling fee is $20.00 but if you keep anything from your fix, you can apply it toward the price of the item you are keeping. If you keep all 5 items, you get a 25% discount.

This is the first item I pulled out of my box:

DOLCE VITA Heeley Woven Mules
One exciting thing that is happening at Stitch Fix is the introduction of shoes! I started seeing a lot of girls getting fabulous shoes from heels, sandals, booties to sneakers. If you are very particular about shoes, you can actually opt out from getting shoes in your fixes, similarly to accessories.  I wanted to try out the shoe option for while to see what kind of shoes I can get, so I requested tan booties hoping they would have some in stock. Unfortunately, they did not have any tan booties, but my stylist sent me these mules instead. I am not too crazy about the new mule trend and I thought the price was too high for something you don't absolutely love, so these were RETURNED.

SKIES ARE BLUE Terese Quilted Faux Leather Jacket
I was so excited that my stylist listened to my requests and sent me a faux leather jacket. At first, I was a little disappointed that it was not more edgy and moto-style, but in the end I decided that it's better that way because it's going to be more versatile and I can wear it more.
This one I'm KEEPING for sure!
Also, I really love the dress that is featured on the styling card with the jacket, so I am requesting it for my next fix.

41 HAWTHORN Edwin Scoop Neck Blouse
This is a nice blouse and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not too lose or baggy. One problem I have had with Stitch Fix tops is that there a a lot of loose and flowy styles that I do not like and they do not work well for my body. The colors and patterns were cute but I decided that it was not worth $58 , so I ended up RETURNING it. I did, however, like it styled with the faux leather jacket above.

41HAWTHORN Sena Bar Black Blouse
I thought so hard on this one. I absolutely love the back of this top. It's unique and sexy. The front was not very exciting and kind of baggy. I also hated the tab sleeves as they kept falling down and getting caught on my elbow. I also tried styling the top by tucking it in my pants to make it look a little better, which I think helped a little. In the end, I decided that I currently don't have anywhere to wear this top, so I ended up  RETURNING it and hopefully I'm not going to regret it.

I apologize in advance for the dirty mirror :(

KUT FROM THE CLOTH Denna Skinny Jeans
This was another hard decision. I did request light skinny jeans and my stylist delivered. However, these were a little too long for me and I did not feel like having them altered, so I returned them. They fit very well though and were so comfortable.   RETURNED

Even though I ended up keeping only one item I consider this to be a very successful fix. I was very satisfied with the selection of items I received. I really enjoy trying on all these fun clothes and deciding which ones I'd like to keep. Since I did not buy that much this time around, I felt that it was justified to get another fix so I immediately scheduled another fix to come later this month.

Happy fixing!
