Wantable Fitness Edit box 2

My second Wantable Fitness Edit arrived and I am happy to see so much color and patterns once again. This box has become one of my favorites to get, although I must admit I'm starting to have too much stuff in my fitness drawer.

If you are now familiar with Wantable Fitness , it works a little like Stitch Fix. You pay $20 styling fee which gets credited towards anything you purchase. Your stylists then chooses several clothing items for you based on your profile. You can try it all at the comfort of your own home and decide what items you'd like to keep. You can send anything you don't like, but you do get extra 20% of it you keep it all.

Here is my second Fitness Edit:

Glyder Elongate Legging Spanish Tile Jaquard ($74.00 )
Wantable introduced me to Glyder Apparel and it has quickly become one of my favorite fitness brands. I kept their leggings from my last edit, even though they were pricey. I was really tempted to keep these too but they were full length and we are pretty much done with cooler weather, so I'm not sure if I would be able to wear them any longer. If I got these again in the fall, I would probably keep them.

Mono B Geo Abstract Printed Capri ($42.00)
I put these capris on my wish list in Wantable's Stream. This is a relatively new feature similar to Instagram, where you can post and tag your items from all Wantable boxes (Fitness, Fashion, Accessories and Intimates) and you can click the tag on other customer's pictures to request something. I was really happy to see these in my box. They seem to be a tad smaller than I expected so it took a little bit of effort to squeeze myself into them. But once I got them on, I really liked how they looked and fit and decided to keep them.

Aurora Wrap Atomic Wrap ($62.00)
No, I'm not being repetitive, it does say "wrap" twice in the name of the item. I really loved this wrap. Such a pretty color and interesting mesh detail. Unfortunately I was not sure I was going to be able to wear it much as I prefer hoodies to throw on. Also, I just kept a black Glyder wrap in my last fix, so I definitely could not justify getting another one.

Mediate Raglan Long Sleeve Hoodie ($70.00)
I fell in love with this hoodie as soon as I put it on. It was so soft and comfortable. I also liked the interesting mesh-like detail. I really wanted to keep it but I did not think it was worth $70. I did a little bit of research and found it more than half the price on Amazon. It was such a score!!

Groove Bra Kingdom 1 ($39.00)
I'm always nervous when I get bras. I usually get my workout bras from Victoria's Secret as I need solid support when I work out. The colors of this bra were really cute but the only place I would be able to wear it is at home while lounging. This bra would not give me enough support to do any kind of workout, so I sent it back.

I really enjoyed this box and I felt like all the items I got were really cute. In the end, I had to choose items that fit best into my lifestyle and workout routine. I was happy to get to know other brands and I was thrilled to find the hoodie somewhere else for half the price. I am looking forward to getting more Wantable fitness boxes.

Fix #9

Time to reveal my 9th Stitch Fix. In my note to the stylist, I asked for some specific items, such as lighter wash skinny jeans, faux leather jacket in brown or wine color and some office friendly items. I  did not get the same stylist I had in my previous fixes but feel like my stylist did a very good job listening to my needs and she made a great attempt at providing what I wanted.

If you have not heard about it, Stitch Fix offers styling service and sends you 5 hand picked clothing items that fits the style profile you created. The styling fee is $20.00 but if you keep anything from your fix, you can apply it toward the price of the item you are keeping. If you keep all 5 items, you get a 25% discount.

This is the first item I pulled out of my box:

DOLCE VITA Heeley Woven Mules
One exciting thing that is happening at Stitch Fix is the introduction of shoes! I started seeing a lot of girls getting fabulous shoes from heels, sandals, booties to sneakers. If you are very particular about shoes, you can actually opt out from getting shoes in your fixes, similarly to accessories.  I wanted to try out the shoe option for while to see what kind of shoes I can get, so I requested tan booties hoping they would have some in stock. Unfortunately, they did not have any tan booties, but my stylist sent me these mules instead. I am not too crazy about the new mule trend and I thought the price was too high for something you don't absolutely love, so these were RETURNED.

SKIES ARE BLUE Terese Quilted Faux Leather Jacket
I was so excited that my stylist listened to my requests and sent me a faux leather jacket. At first, I was a little disappointed that it was not more edgy and moto-style, but in the end I decided that it's better that way because it's going to be more versatile and I can wear it more.
This one I'm KEEPING for sure!
Also, I really love the dress that is featured on the styling card with the jacket, so I am requesting it for my next fix.

41 HAWTHORN Edwin Scoop Neck Blouse
This is a nice blouse and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not too lose or baggy. One problem I have had with Stitch Fix tops is that there a a lot of loose and flowy styles that I do not like and they do not work well for my body. The colors and patterns were cute but I decided that it was not worth $58 , so I ended up RETURNING it. I did, however, like it styled with the faux leather jacket above.

41HAWTHORN Sena Bar Black Blouse
I thought so hard on this one. I absolutely love the back of this top. It's unique and sexy. The front was not very exciting and kind of baggy. I also hated the tab sleeves as they kept falling down and getting caught on my elbow. I also tried styling the top by tucking it in my pants to make it look a little better, which I think helped a little. In the end, I decided that I currently don't have anywhere to wear this top, so I ended up  RETURNING it and hopefully I'm not going to regret it.

I apologize in advance for the dirty mirror :(

KUT FROM THE CLOTH Denna Skinny Jeans
This was another hard decision. I did request light skinny jeans and my stylist delivered. However, these were a little too long for me and I did not feel like having them altered, so I returned them. They fit very well though and were so comfortable.   RETURNED

Even though I ended up keeping only one item I consider this to be a very successful fix. I was very satisfied with the selection of items I received. I really enjoy trying on all these fun clothes and deciding which ones I'd like to keep. Since I did not buy that much this time around, I felt that it was justified to get another fix so I immediately scheduled another fix to come later this month.

Wantable Fitness Edit

I've been doing Wantable Intimates box for a while now and I have been tempted to try out their Fitness edit. I have been trying to live healthier and work out regularly and having nice workout clothes always gives me extra motivation.

Wantable fitness works a little like Stitch Fix.

Here is my January Fitness Edit:

At first glance, I really liked the colors and patterns. It looked really promising.

Straptastic Crop by Glyder ($68.00 - ouch but KEPT).
At first I thought they were not really my style because I kind of like simple workout pants. but when I tried them on I had to have them. They look so cute on and despite the fact they were a little pricy for cropped pants I decided to keep them.  I can't wait to wear them. Also, I found them in another color here.

Glyder Cascade Cardigan ($76.00) KEPT
I already have something similar from Fabletics as far as style goes, but the fabric and the finger holes were an upgrade for me. I know I will get a lot of use out of this cardi. I love it and despite the price, I had to keep it.

Now on to these crazy pants above. They looked tiny when I pulled them out but they stretch and fit quite comfortably. I just felt like I was not ready to attract so much attention to my lower body and regretfully returned them. I can't recall the brand of these but Wantable invoice says Printed Leggings and the were $72.00. (RETURNED)

Wantable stylist also sent me a cute tank to go with these pants. It was Hippie Tank Neon Green ($39.00). In the front it looked like a plain tank top in a fun color, but the back was another story with "shredded" look. I really liked the tank but it fit a little on the smaller side and I like a little less fitted clothes to work out in. RETURNED

Lastly, my biggest disappointed as I fell in love with the pattern as soon as I took it from the box. Mono B Crossover Abstract Print Sports Bra ($36.00)
I thought the price was good and I really wanted to keep this bra but it was no workout friendly for me at all. I felt like things were going to fly out when I do any movement in this bra. It's probably better for smaller breasts. I'm not even going to post a picture of me wearing it because it's very revealing. RETURNED

Overall, I was very impressed with the fitness box and I look forward to getting more of them. I probably will not get it every month because I do not think I need that many workout clothes. However,  I'll definitely use the service again. I really liked discovering new brands and trying on styles I would be too intimidated to try at the store.

Fix #8

It's time for my 8th Stitch Fix. After sending the entire fix back last time, I was more than ready to get another one. This time I asked for fall clothes, lots of layers and some warm and cozy stuff.

I was a little sad to see that my stylist Jenelle was not available to style me, but I thought Chelsea did a good job based on what I asked for,

Here is what my little pile of clothes looked at first sight:

The first item I instantly grabbed was this beauty:

BRIXON IVY Lawley Cable Knit Open Cardigan
I had this sweater pinned in a couple of other colors. I was not excited about yet another grey cardigan in my wardrobe (I have a couple of grey cardigans already) but I love the style and the feel of it and I did not hesitate that this was going to be definitely an item I was keeping. I actually wore it to work the next day. I love how unique the pockets are and I really would not mind getting this cardigan in other colors. I saw it in orange and tan.   KEEPING!

41 HAWTHORN Colibri Solid Tab Sleeve Blouse
I think I had this pinned too. At first sight I was really excited about the beautiful green color. I also liked the longer length of the top and fun split sides. However, the tab sleeves were driving me nuts. The length of the sleeves was strange to wear unrolled and when I rolled them up, they kepts coming down. I also thought the neck area was a little restrictive for me. I don't like anything too close to my neck and I felt like it could be an issue for me when I wear it all day.Lastly, I thought the quality was not that great for the price. RETURNING

SKIES ARE BLUE Corby Pullover Sweater
I absolutely love this brand and own a lot of their pieces. I was excited when I got tracking number and saw the brand on the list of items I was getting (Yeah I'm bad and I can't stop myself from peeking at what I'm getting). However, I was just not excited about this pullover. I also feel I have enough stripes already . RETURNING

PIXLEY Lori Pencil Skirt
This is such a cute skirt and I am crazy about stripes but it runs a tad small and I could comfortably zip it in the back. I considered requesting a larger size from Stitch Fix but then I remembered I already have a striped skirt, so I decided against it.  RETURNING

41HAWTHORN Queensland Dolman Jersey Top
It's so hard to get good pictures of this top. It has beautiful plum color. I am pretty sure I marked "no dolmans" in my profile but i'm glad my stylist sent me this.  This is such a great basic top to have in your closet. I'm sure it will get a lot of wear this Fall/Winter season.   KEEPING

Overall, I thought that my comments were taken into consideration by the stylist and she did a good job picking up some great layer pieces and they all fell into coze/warm/layer category I asked for. I decided to keep 2 items out of 5 they sent me, which is not bad at all. I'm looking forward to my next fix. I'm hoping to get some dresses to wear to work holiday party.

Fix # 7 Review

I have been doing Stitch Fix for a while now but did not do any reviews. I figured it's time for another one.

For fixes 2-5 I had the same stylist and I felt like she got my style and she read my comments every month and tried to send the items I requested or similar. The last two fixes I got different stylist and I am not sure I like it.

Here is what I got for fix # 7. I asked for mainly work clothes, especially bottoms.

At first glance, I really liked the mixture of colors and patterns.

MARGARET M Emer Printed Cropped Straight Leg Pant
I own a pair of black cropped Emers I received in my second fix and I wear them a lot. I was really excited to get a patterned pair. I was a little surprised because these fit much tighter than the black ones. Also, winter is coming to Windy City, so I'm not sure how long I'd be able to wear them before I freeze to death. I'm still unsure if I'm returning it or not.  UNDECIDED

41 HAWTHORN Leone Dress
This was supposed to be a dress for work. I do not think so. It's much shorter than I like for work and when I raised my hands I could see way more than appropriate for work. Plus the boobage peek-a-boo was not what I normally do for work....
I really liked the color combo and the general idea of the dress but I wish it hit me at the knee at least. RETURNING

PAPERMOON Etsie Dress
This dress looked so promising for work. It had appropriate length and color was so cute. However, it fit very strangely in the chest area, you can see a large part of my bra and I can't even think of what kind of bra I would need to wear to pull it off. I thought of keeping it and wearing with a cardi but I can't justify buying a piece of clothing that can't be worn on its own. RETURNING

MARGARET M Christiana Pencil Skirt
I asked for pencil skirts and I got this one. I loved the color and pattern, but I felt like the fit was not very forgiving. The fabric is pretty thin and stretches well so all my lumps and imperfections were clearly on display. I think I need to stick to more structured pencil skirts. I also thought it was not worth the $78 price tag.  RETURNING

GILLI Kelsey Skirt
At first I thought the pattern was really cute. I was not impressed with quality or fit. I felt like it was making strange noises when I was putting it on. The inside of the skirt had all kinds of threads showing and I just did not want to spend money on something with that poor quality. I'm really surprised though because I do own several pieces from Gilli and I like them a lot.  RETURNING

So after several successful fixes this one might be 0/5 or 1/5 if I decide what to do with the Emers. If I return everything, I will lose the styling fee but I'm ok with it. I'd rather keep something I love than keep something just so I don't lose the fee. Hopefully I can get my old stylist back and get back on track with more successful fixes.
